Open Question: Mother of the bride outfit for a beach wedding?

My mother keeps bugging me asking me what she should wear to my wedding? Its a beach wedding...any ideas? She is about a size 12-14, but thinks she is alot heavier (err) so she won't be comfortable in a strapless sun dress or anything like that. My father I have picked out khaki pants or shorts & a shirt that matches the grooms man in a different color.
